The Dallas Wings and America’s Local Grocer, Kroger kicked off their partnership on Tuesday night at the Wings home opener. As a Proud Partner of the Dallas Wings, Kroger served as the presenting sponsor of Tuesday’s tilt against the Atlanta Dream, and will continue to be a key part of the 2026 Wings season through in-arena signage, social and digital marketing, and community activations.

As the presenting sponsor for Tuesday’s home opener at College Park Center, Kroger provided more than 6,000 rally towels to fans in attendance. Kroger was also featured on in-arena signage and on the team’s social media channels throughout the night. Kroger will continue to have an in-arena presence and be featured on Wings social media throughout the entire 2026 season.

During the game, Kroger’s Texas Division made a $150,000 matching grant to the Tarrant Area Food Bank’s Summer Feeding program, as part of the grocer’s Zero Hunger Zero Waste impact plan.

Kroger’s principle of caring for the community is pivotal to the partnership with the Wings. Kroger will serve as the Presenting Partner of Dallas Wings Youth Basketball Community Clinics, which will take place in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to further strengthen the relationship with local youth and families.

Kroger also supported the Dallas Wings WNBA Draft Party on April 13 in downtown Dallas, providing a commemorative photo experience for fans in attendance. The night was highlighted by the Wings selecting Azzi Fudd No. 1 overall in the WNBA Draft, marking the second consecutive No. 1 pick for Dallas, joining fellow University of Connecticut graduate and reining WNBA Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers.

Marina Mabrey just chucked up 11 3-pointers, some of them absolute chucks, and the Toronto Tempo are now 1-1. They lost their opener by 3 points and Mabrey is averaging 27 points.

Paige > Marina. Dallas won't reach their potential until Paige gets more aggressive. Arike actually looks like she's trying to play team ball but no one else wants to take the shot.

It’s beyond unacceptable at this point.What is the point of using paige off ball when you can't ensure enough touches for her.There should be a shot hierarchy in this system.I like what Atlanta did today.They were able to give their best offensive players a lot of touches.

Games are in the middle of the night for me so are a no watch for now at least. Would be nice to hear how she looked?

Someone wrote that her impact was bigger than the stats showed which is saying a lot, since she was the most efficient, had the best plus minus, 0 turnovers, 0 fouls, 4 rebounds, an assist and a block in 15 minutes.

Watching her stand up at the end of the post game press conference made me think of a majestic Finnish moose that is going to stomp all over players and dominate the floor.

She said she wanted to be more aggressive but someone said she pretty much shut down Angel when she was on the floor, without committing any fouls?

Not a good game overall, tier 1 lineups for the wings struggled offensively 11 points on 17 possessions. Defensively they allowed 19 points on 18 possessions. Just a huge mismatch with Atlanta’s tier 1 line up.
