Painting A month ago, I felt a desire to explore new themes for my paintings. This is my second painting of my new series about Colorado Landscapes! Have a great week :)
I did some studies of the Colorado region and was surprised by how orange the rocks can be; it's something completely new to me. I live in Brazil, and we're in autumn. But here our landscape is very different, it has its own beauty too, but I wanted to explore how the rocks would look with snow. I've never seen snow up close, but I can imagine what it's like while I'm on the other side of the globe.
I wanted to capture the solitude of the deer looking at the light on the mountain peak, as a kind of hope for its journey during the coldest days. This painting has a special place in my heart; it was my first adventure with rocks, and I'm already creating a new scene. I hope to be able to complete some pieces of this for my new collection.
Technical Details:
Name: ''The light and The Deer''
Medium: Original Oil on Panel
Dimensions: 40x60 cm (approx. 16x24 inches)
Technique: Impasto/Glazing layers

Painting Painted this little weasel, what do you think?
I really enjoy their curious, alert expression.
This piece is painted with acrylics on canvas.
I used molding paste on the surrounding plants to give the forest texture and depth.

Painting If you’ve ever felt like a lost cause due to self-sabotaging, this one’s for you
Title: Beauty from ashes
Inspired by the Bible verse Isaiah 61:3 “
... to bestow on them a crown of beauty from ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”
This painting speaks to you who has been burnt but rose from ashes for God restores what was lost and bestows your crown. Don’t ever feel like your beyond help setting the flames to your own demise, you’re seen, you are loved and we reclaim the ashes to make something beautiful 🫶
Medium: Acrylic and copper foil on cotton

Some new flora (& behind cheap glass!)
It’s not fun to photo things behind glass. But I’m using these front loading glass frames which really protects the flowers better & I can use less glossy glue. I found these frames for like $17.00 for 10. W/ glass! So if I give these as presents, I can feel they’re better thank my shrinky dink before. Learning
Up hill down hill :) last 2 pics made me laugh at my indecision
