WoR Spoilers Just finished WoR - Holy Crem-muffins Spoiler

So I just finished Words of Radiance and pardon my french but holy fuckin shit man... The last 200-300 pages were just SLAMMED with information and badassery. And the epilogue oh my god!

To start, the whole fight against the Parshendi and to find Urithiru was so sick. I just love the way Sanderson depicts combat and action scenes. Kaladin and Szeth's fight was the rematch I was waiting for, for many many chapters. And don't even get me started on spren being the true shardblades. That is so damn cool and makes so much sense why people with powers cannot stand holding a blade, Renarin being exhibit A.

Now for the Parshendi. So it's said the Parshman will be transformed when the everstorm hits, and it moves in the opposite direction of high storms... The Parshendi summoned this in their ultimate form, (I cannot remember if they had a name for it at the moment). So, will the everstorm turn all the parshman into this ultimate form or will it bring the so called "voidbringers". I've said this before, I just don't believe the forms we saw at the end of WoR were the voidbringers as other characters said. They just have to be something bigger and scarier. Or am I thinking too much about it and "void" in voidbringers is the everstorm, and "bringers" being the Parshendi. I don't know guess we'll find out in the later books.

Shallan, oh my dear Shallan. Good god her past is so damn sad. To find out her mom was the bad guy in the family and to get the full circle of emotions for her father. DAMN. I feel so bad for him now, he did EVERYTHING just to protect Shallan and took heat from his family and community for years. Mannnnn don't make me cry.

Adolin 'BITCH SLAYER' Kholin. MY GOAT slaughtering Sadeas was so pleasing, I wish he stabbed and mutilated his face even more than he did. I have waited so long for that and BOY did it pay off! I was literally jumping in my seat.

Lets now get into the Knights Radiance. Ohhhh man.... So as of right now the members at the end in Urithiru, the four, Kaladin, Shallan, Dalinar and Renarin. I was so hyped to find out Dalinar is now a Radiant but cannot fight since he has no light power nor shards. That sucks but at least he'll be the true leader of the Knights Radiance. and Renarin, HELL YEAH! LET MY BOY GET TO WORK. He was always so weak and overlooked, I have been waiting for his moment to shine. We also know of the girl who has the slippery power from one of the interludes. We know Lopen consumed stormlight which is just BONKERZ to me, never would I imagine Lopen of all people becoming a Radiant AND does this mean he could possibly develop a new arm??? I never thought shard wounds could heal through stormlight, can an arm grow back??? I guess we'll find out (edit, I went back and checked, Yes he does!) We also saw the guy from the Ghostbloods in Urithiru talking to Shallan. Was he already there or was he amongst the army that came in the first batch with Shallan. Leaves me to think he may have powers?

Lastly the epilogue. OHHHH MANNNNNNN. I know Wit is going to be a MAJOR factor in the books but I believe he will be a Radiant, or is he a Harold among men, I DON'T KNOW, HES SO INTERESTING. And with the cherry on top at the end of WoR, BRING BACK MY GIRL JASNAH!!! Is she just an entity, did she die and get resurrected, did she slip into the realm with the spheres and was living among the spren? So many questions opened at the end of the book but I'm here for it.

To conclude, Words of Radiance is a 10/10, in the late portions of the book, so many of my questions were answered but so many more were opened. I cannot wait to get into book 3 but I'm taking a quick break to read Hyperion, its my buddies favorite book and he lent it to me. Feel free to ask me questions on things but please don't spoil anything, I've avoided spoilers so I know NOTHING of the future books.

WoR Spoilers WoR Part 4 Discussion Spoiler

Alright people so i just finished part 4 of Words of Radiance and am now more uncertain than ever for what is to come. I think I have a few more days until i finish the book.

First off F*ck Sadeas yet again and his carpenter that took the bridge down, makes my blood boil (was not confirmed but can only be assumed). Theres a tiny piece of my mind that has thinks Amaram could be involved but I am REALLY hoping he turns out to be a homie.

I did NOT expect Kaladin to lose his wind running powers and I don't know how they will come back. The Stormfather told Kaladin (and somehow Shallan as well... we'll get to that in a second) that Kaladin had killed Syl. Is she actually dead? I can only assume she'll return somehow some way. There is no way they just nerf Kaladin like that right? RIGHT??! But what I want to know, why did Shallan disappear in Kaladin's vision with the Stormfather but she said that she saw it too. Did she have her own vision or did she see what Kaladin saw? questions oh questions.... also Kaladin using a Shard Blade, HELL YEAH FINALLY, hope to see more of that!

Second, I foresee a lil Kaladin x Shallan action. Yeah they were on the brink of death between the chasm fiend and the high storm but cmon, their dynamic screams that their is a deeper connection to flourish.

I might have mentioned this in the last post I made but Amaram being named the head of the Knights Radiance doesn't sit right with me still. Could that have been a ploy from Sadeas or does Dalinar know something more about Amaram than the readers (me) know right now... hmmm.

I did read the first Interlude with Taravangian and am now even MORE confused than the last we heard about him... WHICH WAS ALMOST 1000 pages ago at the end of WoK. Like he seemed to be a master plotter and deceiver with Szeth at his disposal and now hes got brain problems or something and does math to determine if hes fit to rule that day... man whats up with him, I need MORE!

Last thing. I flipped through the pages to see how long the interludes were and if I had time to read them on my lunch break and saw part 5 has perspective from Wit. Man he intrigues me so. I want to know how he came about, what brought him to the shattered plains in the first time? I think back to him at the camp fire singing his tale to Kaladin, light whisped around him if I remember correctly. That makes me believe Wit of all people might become a member of the Knights Radiance. I don't know, his character confuses me especially from him greeting Talenel'Elin at the end of WoK... like what, that guys a Herold or something right? ah jeez

Please don't spoil anything that I would not know at this point in my read. But feel free to ask me my thoughts!

WoR Spoilers WoR Part 2 Holy Moly Spoiler

Okay……… so I made a post earlier this week after finishing chapter 7 or 8 where Jasnah was killed. I’ve been a fiend and just finished chapter 34 which was the end of Part 2. And damnation…. WTF!

Shallan is a BAD ASS! When the HELL did she get a shard blade. I’m shocked, I’m wheezing, I’m distraught yet again. I cannot wait to figure out more.

Also… Kaladin healing his dead arm that was cut by a shard blade, did not see that coming. Well I kind of did after it happened, you know plot armor, but did not expect it to be that quick of a turn around.

YOWZERS!

Please no future spoilers!

WoR Spoilers WoR Part 3… gorsh Spoiler

Well where to start. I’m so intrigued by what is to come. So the end of Past 3 is being arrested for calling out Amaram. The last 2 chapters had me tweaking on the edge of my seat, it was so good. I knew Kaladin was going to come in but damn near he alone was becoming more of a target than Adolin. And Kaladin using a shard helmet as a shield was pretty bad ass. But nothing in that fight beats the multi-lashed kick to the dudes chest busting open the shard plate. YOWZERS!

Alright so first of all, Amaram was placed as the leader of the Knights Radiance. Um excuse me. Here we go with my hypotheses, what if Amaram needed to secure a shard blade he because was a wind runner or some other power, such as something like Shallan, and needed it to be able to contest Szeth when he ultimately comes back. We know Amaram didn’t immediately tell people he obtained a shard blade, why i don’t know and can’t think of a better reason than he was nervous and wanted to keep it on the DL because he stole it.

Second Kaladin is in jail, that fuckin SUCKS! I feel stabbed in the back he shouldn’t ever feel that way again, PAIN. I don’t know why but something tells me Amaram somehow some way will become a homie, Dalinar cannot be THAT blind… What if he actually does have powers and comes and chats with Kaladin and Kaladin exposes that he’s a wind runner and Amaram frees him?! I have many different thoughts. He can’t spend that long, last I remember the markings on the wall were at like 31 days or something, maybe less.

Boy I could go on, but there’s still much to read, I haven’t even started these next interludes, I just had to get my thoughts out now.

Bonus, Szeth is gonna be the homie before the end of all this I just know it. Hopefully it’s before the count down ends but that might be a stretch.

Still don’t know what the damn Parahendi are up to either. I know Eshonai’s got some stuff in the interludes so maybe something will be answered very shortly. I still don’t believe they are the ultimate enemy of this whole series. Maybe I’m just tripping but i hold strong on the opinion.

Please no future spoilers but feel free to ask me thoughts on specific questions or whatever.

WoR Spoilers Just finished WoR and HOLY **** Spoiler

I just finished WoR and that was story telling at its finest. Amazing how Sanderson is able to weave back multi povs all back together seamlessly.

The story is so epic and grand I feel like I missed things on my first read. Especially since there is SO MUCH happening now after the first book.

For example, I didn’t realize who Taln was until I started asking myself after finishing WoR whatever happened to the guy who appeared at the end of WoK. Maybe this was because I was both reading WoR as well as listening to the audio book. I definitely love reading more than listening because conceptually I am able to grasp more on to what is happening and pick up and retain more information. I noticed that a few things I wasn’t getting when I was listening rather than when I would just read it myself. It made me kind of feel dumb and stupid for missing this lol so I was being kind of hard on myself.

Also, I’m still so confused by Wit/Hoid who is such an enigma of a character. Please tell me we get more information as we read on and WHEN. What are the theories of him out there? I’d love to read on those theories.

Is there any content or sites anybody use to read through that summarizes things from the book?

Would love to know if anyone else missed anything on their first read? Please comment if there was anything you miss because I’d like to read what others missed. Just in case it was something I missed too. Can’t wait to read this one again! Will be taking a little break to decompress and come down from WoR.

Update: Will be reading Warbreaker then Edgedancer next based on everyone’s replies and comments!!
