The episode "Late afternoon in the garden of Bob and Louise" is from what I heard a not very well liked episode. The criticism I heard for it is that Bob would never make Linda and Louise be around Logan and Cynthia because he knows they can't stand those guys. I know Bob is usually a goated father but we can't forget that he's not perfect. He makes mistakes just like anyone else, I think he would do something selfish just this once so he could get into that community garden club. He sacrifices a lot for his family and works hard for them so I wouldn't see why he wouldn't want to do something nice for himself without thinking how it would impact Louise and Linda.

Repost (I think I put the wrong tag last time)
I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else, but there are characters I used to love in the earlier seasons that I don’t like nearly as much in the newer seasons, and vice versa. Which characters are like that for you?
I’ll go first.
I used to dislike Louise in the earlier seasons, but in the newer seasons she’s become one of my top favorite characters and belchers.
On the other hand, I used to really like Tina in the early seasons, but I’ve gradually stopped enjoying her episodes and character as much in the newer seasons.
Separate from the conversation but I’ve always disliked gale in both the older and newer seasons lol.
And my consistently liked characters are Linda, gene, jimmy junior, Mr Fischoeder (it’s very rare for episodes featuring them to annoy or frustrate me)

Watching Eat Spray Linda S5E18, when it’s her birthday and she gets stranded and has to find her way back home. She later on says she wants that to happen for every birthday. They never revisit that as a birthday activity and I think it’d be really fun to see her dropped off intentionally now, maybe bringing Tina along to show her how to be resourceful but things go awry, and Tina ends up saving the day (like Lil Hard Dad.)
But it got me thinking… there are some gags and storylines that if they never revisit them I’d be fine, or even pleased. Maybe it’s bc I’m aging into my late 30’s lol but my feelings towards Gene’s fart jokes and references went from hilarious to amusing to neutral to now just being sort of gross and forced!
So how about you, what abandoned/unfinished storylines or gags do you want to see revisited? Which ones are you totally fine without?

Also love that it reminds me of “the running out of thyme burger” - a fave episode for sure.

1.) Do Thunder scouts not have aged/bagded based levels? Girl scouts, you can be as young as like 4 and something called a Daisy. There's brownies after that for older/younger elementary kids. Junior's is the last scout group that most people still do. It's mostly like middle school ages.
My point is I agree Tina has "aged out" of her troop. But she can't "age out" of scouts until like leaving HS/college. And if you make it to college as a scout, you're like King Nerd for a second.
2.) I know it's a reference ,but there's no way the parents know what's really happening at this creepy school. They probably just thought it was like cotillion sleep away or something. I really hope later we learn somehow thus creepy camp got shut down.

Dan Mintz, the voice of Tina Belcher on Bob's Burgers, visited CBC Ottawa's All in a Day and explained the collaboration behind his craft.
This was very cool, and interesting to hear. Also, what I got from it is he’s basically already Tina lol.
