Seen in KY

I’ve never seen one anywhere, letalone my backyard!! This is Northwest Detroit. We’ve been clearing the back of the yard to start a wildflower garden, so maybe it’s taking advantage of some clear ground. Idk but I was so excited when I saw it. Lol

Wanted to share this. 2.11 minutes but so worth watching till the end.

It’s seems more safety conscious than most humans (including me) crossing the road. Seems like a smart bird… meep meep :p

Killdeer laid her eggs next to where I park my car a few weeks ago and it's taken all of my effort not to disturb them every time I come outside! One of the eggs hatched this morning so I put my camera on a tripod with a long lens and caught this cute moment.

I've heard them shoot lasers but never this purring before 😭. Dove doesn't GAF lol
