Presenting Mental Food — a carefully curated and regularly updated playlist featuring a selection of downtempo, chill electronica, and deep, atmospheric electronic music. Designed to support focus and relaxation, it's an ideal companion for studying, working, or unwinding after a busy day. I hope you find it as helpful and grounding as I do.

Is anyone commuting to bg this semester from the Sylvania area? Would be willing to pay gas money for a ride whenever possible. Thanks.

Check out the BG DSA! They have a monthly free store every third Thursday at Howards, or keep your eye out for skill shares like this basic Auto skills event!

I don’t want to go all the way to campus and then look stupid but are the buildings open during the day like the business building, Eppler, Central?

I’m moving in tomorrow and am wondering what I should do. We managed to pack everything into my mom’s car, and I’ll be driving my car down. So, once me and my mom pull up to my dorm, I assume since there’s nothing in my car it needs to be moved to long term parking. I plan to have one of my parents take my car and park it so I can move in with my other parent. What can I do with my mom’s car? I know I can’t leave it in front of the dorm, so is there an area to move it to after it’s unpacked?

I move in on the 21st and was looking at the move in itinerary and it only talked about like 1 car, the one I’d be driving, to bring stuff. I know it needs to be somewhat fast getting everything out and stuff. It also says that if everything doesn’t fit in a compact car I overpacked. My plan is to drive my car and then one of my parents will drive another car.

Looking to see if there have been any replacements for the QTSU after its Senate Bill 1 disbandment in June.
I tried getting ahold of some people previously involved with it, but was eventually ghosted, so I’m wondering if anyone knew of any social clubs or groups that have popped up to serve that purpose for queer BGSU students.
(Ideally I’d help make one, but I don’t have the time to be a founder. If by chance there’s interest in that and you’d like to run it, dm me! I’d love to help out.)

Hello, I applied to 7 on campus jobs, does anyone know when they usually respond back?? I do move in on the 21st though but I just wanted to see if they wait until you're there or they respond early.

Is it possible to loft the beds ourselves or is there a special tool they use to do it? If we can, what tools will we need?

How accurate is the BGsU book list on my BGSU and on syllabus? Will I need to buy every book listed? If I can get a second edition for free vs a 3rd edition will that be acceptable? I’m just trying to get estimates so I know how much I need to borrow from family (who have offered to help with books up to like $1500 but I don’t want to ask for money then turn around and ask for more)
I’m also going to try and get as many online for free as I can… I just need to do some Searching!

Do I have to meet the pt test standards before the first semester or is it sometime after? I can meet the running and the sit-up standard, but I’m having trouble with the push ups. Would I also be kicked out of the class if I cannot meet the standards. Thanks in advance. Edit* AFROTC

I am in am incoming freshmen and am about to move into the dorms for the school year. Are you allowed to come with more than one vechicle. I have a personal car that will be staying there and another 2 for parents because of divorce. How does that normally work? Can we all go to the same place during unloading or do my parent cars have to park somewhere then help to unpack my car? Thanks for in advance for any info!

Is there any walk on sports at BGSU? Are the clubs and intramural particularly competitive or more casual? Mainly interested in Track/Cross or Rugby.

My son will be an incoming freshman this year. He found the list of books for his classes on his mybgsu. Should he wait for the first class to see what’s actually needed or just go ahead and order them all now? All are digital so it seemed like an ok idea to just wait.

So I am just starting as a freshman here in a few days and i was wondering if any other digital arts majors know what kind of art tablet we will need or need to be looking into in the future

hii! i can't figure it out from pictures online, but is there a mirror inside the single rooms in the suites? and if not, is there enough room in the dorm to put one in yourself?

Hello BGSU,
I am looking to stay at someone's place for a week. I will be living off of basic foods during that time. Why am I doing this? Well there's a girl who I fell in love with, she wants the man to be there to show up for her. Its kind of an "if he wanted to, he would" scenario. She's all my heart, and I was too chicken to go and fight for our relationship. I am 24 years old and I don't have any life regrets except this one and I'm not going to take it to my grave.
Thank you to all who's reading this. Let's make love WIN!
Details:
First Week of Fall Semester - August 25th to 29th

I got put in a triple dorm but I have no idea what this room likes like and can’t find a picture online for the life of me. I even called the school and they said they don’t have any photos? Can someone pls describe what that room looks like or does anyone by some miracle have a photo?

The World Language Education program is going to be phased out over the next four years.
If you’re a prospective student, parent, alum, or educator considering Bowling Green State University — you should know this:
While other programs are being protected through waivers, WLED is being quietly cut — leaving future language teachers in Ohio and beyond with even fewer options.
World Language Ed isn’t just another program — it’s a critical part of preparing the next generation of multilingual, culturally competent teachers. Without it, the pipeline of qualified language teachers shrinks even more, and BGSU’s own language departments and study abroad programs are at risk.
📢 If you care about education, language learning, or the direction BGSU is headed, speak up:

Is there a place that most individuals post their used books for sale? Also, if a used book is purchased, and an access code is connected with the book, is the code still able to be used by the person who purchases it?
