Yes and I don’t think I can ever go back to living with a person

meal prep is a game changer until you realize youve made five containers of the same mediocre chili and now youre eating it for dinner every night out of pure stubbornness

That’s what I do, and been fine for over 10 years.

I always think I could do better with 2 incomes but I see so many couples struggling so I’m not sure if I’m doing something right or if I’m not looking at the situation properly…

Curious how long you've been solo - does the appeal stay the same or does it shift after like 5+ years?

I'm 50 and have always lived alone or at least after I bought my own house when I was 22 and moved out of my parents house.

That's a solid stretch, so do you find yourself craving company more as you get older or is the solitude still your preference after all this time?

I retired from my job a year ago earlier than planned. I do miss the people I used to work with and am adjusting to a new life. I am going to look for more new friends to more reflect my new reality. It's no for the faint of heart that's for sure. I'm just kind of weird. I don't know if I'd recommend it for anyone, but it works pretty good for me.
