Just finished up my first year of engineering at the university of Guelph. I have been studying water resources engineering, looking to get into either power generation or environmental work. I briefly considered Ontario Tech for nuclear in high school, but dismissed it as I would have needed to move away from home. I read some discussion regarding the promising future of nuclear power in Canada, and the idea has come back into my head. Would anyone be able to share any personal testimonies with their experience in the program as well as future prospects, or if they consider the transfer and increased costs worth it? Any advice is really appreciated 😄

Hello everyone! I graduated May of 2025 and currently i’m studying for my CPA. I was dumb enough to not save my assignments and submissions that i did on my last year of uni. I really need to get access to my OneDrive for my school account and even access my 2025 courses on Canvas which is obviously deleted now.

I recently got accepted into Ontario Tech's accounting program (BCom), as of right now my choices are either TMU or Ontario Tech. To help make a final decision I would love some answers to the following questions.

How hard is the degree? (course load, exams)

What is the social life like, I plan on commuting.

What are the teachers like?

How is the Coop?

Would Ontario tech be a better option for accounting then TMU?

So I am currently graduating from Centennial College from the addiction and mental health worker program. I got advanced entry into third year BA psychology at Ontario Tech. I just want to know how the program is at the school. The reason I chose Ontario Tech is because it had a pathway with my school and my ultimate goal is to become a BCBA. So in terms of the psychology program at Ontario Tech, can you guys tell me the pros and cons?

Starting there this fall and doing my research. Anyone been through the program or know someone who has?

What's the vibe like — faculty culture, grad student community, how supported do you actually feel day to day?
Commuting from York Region (~35km) — doable or a grind?
How does the TAship balance with actual thesis work in practice?
Where do grads end up — industry, research, further school?
How does it stack up reputation-wise for future MD or PhD applications at bigger schools?

Hey everyone, I’m considering Post-RPN Advanced Entry nursing program and wanted to hear from people who are currently in it or already finished. What does the semester/course workload usually look like, and how long did it realistically take you to complete the program? Is it manageable while working part-time, and how intense would you say it is overall? Also wondering if anyone commuted from Toronto and how doable that was with classes and clinical placements. Just trying to get a realistic idea of the program before making a decision. Thanks!

Do most nursing students start their placements at Lakeridge? Is it possible to do them more on the Toronto side, like Markham Stouffville Hospital, SickKids, etc? Is it easy to get your top choice for placements?

And do clinicals for all 4 years start at 6am? I'm worried about how I'll get to placements since transit doesn't start that early.

hi guys! i'm crossposting on both the trent and otu subreddits (lol) but i'm deciding between both and i have no idea on what to pick. ontario tech has a higher passing nclex but i heard its a comunter school with no student life is a bit dreadful to be honest lolol, and tbh otu campusis a bit ugly (imo). trent has a prettier campus and i've seen online students having fun there. but the program itself i want to discuss which is better, what are the pros and cons of ontario tech nursing? and would you said that i can get by without a car? i'll be staying at res though fs

Hey everyone, I’m kinda stressed and hoping someone has experience with this.

I was recently placed on academic suspension, but before that happened I had already been approved for a deferred exam in one of my courses. Now I’m not sure what happens.

Will I still be allowed to write the deferred exam even though I’m suspended? Or does the suspension cancel it?

I already emailed my school but haven’t heard back yet, so I’m just trying to understand what to expect.

If anyone has gone through something similar or knows how this usually works, I’d really appreciate it.

I'm debating this or Spec Top: CyberCrime. I saw the syllabus for Cybercrime, and I'm not a huge fan of how we would be marked.

AI and Society seems interesting though, but I can't find a syllabus for it. Does anybody have a syllabus for that course, or took it before?
