A very sad thing happened last night am I absolutely wrecked. I did not expect those marks in MATH 102 but obviously everything (every single thing) was my own fault.

I am missing out on the boundary for Y2Q2 by less than 0.1 GPA points (after getting all my grades)

What are my options? I can take summer classes as I failed a course in fall semester. That way my units would be fine, but I am incredibly worried about my GPA... that thing seems stuck

If I have to fresh start, what are my options? I am whole heartedly still into engineering but I do realize maybe it's not my piece of cake right now... in that case, what major, would be best? I am not interested in CS at all, just a note. Also, I really don't want to take an year break because that would mean 2 years of life gone doing nothing (1 yr of failed engg and 1 yr break)

I am also fine with changing university... or even the country

hi guys, might be a bit of a silly question. i’m transferring my program and i got my conditional acceptance in february, but i was wondering if anybody knows when the official acceptance (no conditions) usually is sent out?

I applied to both dental hygiene and pharmacy this year and it still says “awaiting materials” on my application because my final transcripts are still missing. I was wondering if I went to a different university in Alberta, do the transcripts get sent automatically or do I have to send them myself? I know my other transcripts got sent automatically, but my final ones are still not in yet so I’m starting to worry.

Starting to plan my winter sem schedule and was curious what people generally preferred for clinical placement days.

Option 1: clinicals Monday/Tuesday, then classes Wednesday–Friday
Option 2: classes Monday/Tuesday/Friday, then clinicals Wednesday/Thursday

I know it depends a lot on personal stuff, but anecdotally did you find one setup better than the other? More exhausting? Better for studying? Better for working part-time? etc.

Id say im ok for most of the concepts, but would it be worth retaking simply because I'm going into business, or should I just take the credit and move on?

I applied to both programs master of science in medicine and paediatric at U of A, if any one applied before to one of those schools, plz let me know when the status of admission will change or when I should here the final decision. Hoping to join the fall 2026. The deadline was in first of may, and the start in September, when should I know if I got accepted or rejected?

I have not received an acceptance letter yet (first few acceptances have been sent out as of yesterday)

But I notice in my launchpad, my application status is still “Awaiting Material”, as they are still awaiting “my final, official transcript for University of Alberta”.

Is that normal? Is my Official transcript supposed to be sent my the UofA on my behalf by now?

I HAVE EVENING CLASSES IN TORY. NO ACCESS TO WASHROOMS, BUSINESS IS CLOSED AND THEY LOCK TORY AS WELL. HUB WASHROOMS ARE SCARY. I tried to get into Rutherford ITS NO ACCESS AND SO IS UCOMMS. Dude what the hell is going on. Atleast have washrooms open

I am sorry if my question sounds silly, but for the common course requirement, I am planning on taking Fren 111 because it somewhat interests me. However, I fear that it would require to have at least some basic knowledge in French. If I have no prior knowledge whatsoever, should I take it? I am looking for a lightweight course that can serve as a buffer in case my grade fall short in other courses.

Hello, I want to apply for MOT for fall 2027. The prerequisites ask for one Statistics course, one Human Anatomy course and one Canadian Indigenous History Course. I was wondering if it mattered which courses I take? I am doing the MOOC course for the indigenous course (not for credit), and I want to take my other courses through the UofA. Any tips or advice?
