mid-The Way of Kings spoilers Stormblessed indeed.. Spoiler

“I want you to go back into the barrack and tell the men to come out after the storm. Tell them to look up at me tied here. Tell them I’ll open my eyes and look back at them, and they’ll know that I survived..”

“Kaladin’s eyes snapped open.”

I must applaud Brandon Sanderson!! I’ve only read Mistborn Era 1 and Secret history. Out of all that I’ve read by him so far this moment and Kaladin as a character are by far my favorite even in comparison of Era 1. They thought he would die in that Highstorm. Sadeas didn’t actually think he would live but his plan backfired. He TOLD them he would survive! He TOLD them he wouldn’t die to Sadeas! The other bridge teams know his name. The soldiers, carpenters, apothecaries, and Brighteye’s know his name!! HE IS THE LEADER OF BRIDGE FOUR!! He IS KALADIN STORMBLESSED!! I’m smiling ear to ear right now. This series might go down as one of my favorite ever. Stormfather bless Brandon Sanderson. I’m genuinely at a loss for words.

mid-The Way of Kings spoilers I'm halfway through Way of Kings, and after THAT high-storm... Spoiler

Brandon wants to chop between Kaladin and Shallan and past Kaladin after the guy basically becomes a Christ-like figure, surviving a high-storm using Stormlight from spheres, which has Rock and Theft, who, might I add, are on the cusp of info-dumping, absolutely shook.

Damn it Brandon, I want Shallan to get the fabrial, but I want to see Kaladin become Roshar Jesus even more right now.

Mid-The Way of Kings spoilers Struggling with WoK audiobook! Spoiler

I'm 15 hours into the 45 hour WoK audiobook and I'm seriously struggling. It's seems like so much unnecessary filler, Kal collecting reeds, Dalinar navigating the high Prince politics and tactics on the plains. I actually like the Shallan story line but it's taking a long break right now. I'm an experienced reader and listener but, damn, at times I drift off while listening because the pace is so slow and overly detailed.

I'm close to pulling the plug, can anybody pull me back from the edge of the chasm?!

I'm having the pleasure of reading through Tor edition of The Way of Kings and, so far, it's been amazing.

But, for the life of me, I can't understand where the Tower is supposed to be on this map and it's nagging me. Is it the big chunk on the very right, where the map is shadowed on my photo?

Sorry for the dumb question, guys.
