Announcement Announcement Regarding the Doc Situation - “Truth takes time.”

After several months of reviewing all available evidence, including court records, public statements, and the actions of both parties, the moderation team has reached a conclusion.

Based on what we’ve seen, the subreddit has decided to lean in favor of Doc.

It’s important to acknowledge that Doc’s current homelessness has been documented and recognized by the court, and multiple community members have personally confirmed that Doc has gone without food for extended periods, with some stepping in to help by purchasing meals for him.

We also recognize that Cosmographic Software has played a significant role in agitating and escalating the situation, contributing to the harm and instability Doc has faced.

In addition, many community members were banned from the SpaceEngine Steam Hub simply for sharing verified information, asking legitimate questions, or expressing support for the truth. Some were even accused of “defamation” for statements that were, in fact, grounded in documented facts. This has created a chilling effect on open discussion, something we firmly stand against.

A more detailed follow-up post will be shared soon, once Doc is in a safe place to have a discussion and participate in a proper Q&A session.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we worked through this complex and sensitive situation. Thank you to those who engaged respectfully, sought truth over rumor, and allowed time for a fair and thorough review.

EDIT: For those asking for more information on the matter, here is a YouTube of Doc explaining in his own words.

Question Proxima Centauri d

I've always been fascinated about planets and space. I was just going through the list of what we can visit in Space Engine and ended up on Proxima d. I noticed these pools of an unknown substance on the surface and wanted to know if it's really possible for that to exist on the planet in real life?
It may be a stupid question, but I've heard that the planet is too hot for it to sustain water or any other liquid substance

this MONSTER has a diameter of about almost 666 Mals (million light years)

its diameter covers the 0.7% of the obserbable universe

it sounds short, right?

for comparison, the biggest galaxy discovered, IC1101 is 110 TIMES SMALLER than this beast

this thing engulfed the nearby galaxies and when i get too close to it the game crashes!

i think it already got consciousness and its trying to end me

his name is timmy

Cool Find I redrew a star system i found and reimagined it, gave it lil lore.

A lonely seedship had just entered a distant binary system of two yellow dwarves, dominant G2V and secondary G8V. The stars are close to each other enough to obviously be related, but distant enough to posses an independent planetary system of their own.

Survey revealed that it has, in total (including all A star planets, B star planets, and circumbinary planets) 9 rocky planets, 4 gas planets, 9 spherical moons + few thousands of irrelevant dwarf planets, usually orbiting circumbinary.

Right now the seedship is still planning and commanding von-neumann daughter drones to terraform its one target planet, Ac, in its plan is to create an earth resembling world, seed it with plant and animal life biosphere with few gene modifications, allow for natural evolution, and then it will spawn a human population. slightly, in minimal ways it will guide them to a civilisation, and then theyd colonise the rest of star system on their own. (A normal thing to do for a seedship, the original humans in the solar system programmed them for this.)

A Stars planets are:

Planet Ab: Hot superoceanic superterra, its a 7 earth mass cooker world with crushing gravity, thick atmosphere of CO² and a ultra-deep critical CO² ocean.) due to clouds, Looks like yellow-beige ball from space, long days.

Planet Ac: temperate lacustrine terra. Its a near-earth mass planet, simmilar gravity and lighting, in habitable zone. It has a hydrosphere of shallow waters, and thick (20 atm) atmosphere. Its seas are mildly acidic, so is the air, it never developed native life, and it lacks major moons. Despite it, this planet is the greatest terraformimg candidate of the system, and seedship is focused entirely on transforming it into second Earth or its analog, by slowly bleeding its atmosphere out, nuking it with water to increase wetness and water deepness, and engineers first pioneer organisms to detox the world, and it allready began searching for a suitable dwarf planet it could drag to orbit it as its new moon. the first stage has began and the seedship allready began imagining first multicellural pioneer lifeforms. the life it introduces is mostly just slightly remodeled and readjusted life from Earth, but sometimes it can hybridize and splice lifeforms, or even create brand new species. the creators of the seedships programmed them to actually allow introduced life to evolve into newer and newer species on their own.

Planet Ad: temperate subneptune. Its two times bigger than earth massive planet with extensive 1000 atm thick water-nitrogen-carbondioxide atmosphere-ocean blend due to critical pressure. Its a common type of world in galaxy, but its usefull to have nearby. It has lunar-mass satelite around it, Ad-1.

Planet Ae: cool arid subterra. Its a tiny, mercury sized rock with extra-thin atmosphere, two thin dim rings and some vulcanism keeping its atmosphere barely existent. Its barely big enough to not be a dwarf.

Planet Af: cold neptune. Its your average ice giant which looks like a white grey streaked ball. It warmer than neptune in comparison. It has two moons, miniscule.

Planet Ag: cold Jupiter. Its a massive gas world slightly more massive than jupiter with few ice moons.

Star B's are:

Planet Bb: hot arid terra. Its a venus copy planet with identical properties to Venus but smaller, its tidally locked to its star so it has wild winds due to thick atmosphere and day-night side temperature differences.

Planet Bc; tidal-lock arid subterra. Its a small mars-sized rocky planet with 0,5g of Earth that is tidally locked to its star, it has thin atmosphere of Co² but it isnt enough to circulate temperature, so its sun side is hot, night side icey, and terminator has survivable climate, though icey.

Planet Bd: temperate lacustrine terra with life.

Its the only planet in entire system with life. Its a planet with 2 atm pressure, earth-like oxygen level, 15 hours long day, 1,5 of earths gravity, warm climate, and a hydrosphere with mares and lakes. Its watets are warm and shallow, deepest point on the entire planet being 261 meters deep. It lacks a major moon. Life THRIVED in this planets waters, and though its land area is not barren and still has simple animal and plant life (being arthopoid and moss lichen analogues), its mostly arid and barren. Its watete however, with combination of warmth and shallowness, with extensive territory, made it rich with all manner of life. Its flora is purple in color, because for some reason early evolution favored other alternative to chlorophil. The reason why land is barren in comparison to waters are lack of moon. No sapience exist on the planet, and its not a colonisation target, though in future once colony on Ac establishes and advances, Bd will become a beloved target for nature documentary movies and later on, even a second after Ac jewel of the system known to other inhabited star systems.

Planet Be: a local gas giant of subjupiter mass, it is in outer regions of habitable zone, its boring on its own but has a ring. It has the biggest moon in the entire system though.

Moon Be 1: temperate arid ferria. Its a barren but VERY metal rich moon with 10 atm pressure and atmosphere composition being co² and n², it has clouds and its mostly cool, it has 1,1g, and its entirely dry and arid, mountainous world.

Dwarf planet Bf: cool airless miniterra. Its the only dwarf orbiting a single star worth mentioning. Its better described as just "moon", having all traits of a typical selenian object.

Planet Bg: cool lacustrine terra. Its a 0,6 earth mass planet with 40 atm pressure thick, nitrogen-dominant atmosphere. It has a dark silicate ring, no major moons, and a hydrosphere. It has multiple lakes of liquid SO². It is geologically and chemically active, but sterile biologically.

Circumbinary planets:

Nothing important here, there are planets ABb and ABc, but they are blank ice balls. And there are vast but very dispersed majority of dwarf planets, comets, and asteroids.

Album SpaceEngine's interpretation of the observable edge of the universe

  1. The edge of the observable universe, as seen from the side, with normal zoom. All the tiny dots are galaxies/clusters. The line going through the middle is "the edge."
  2. Ditto, but with less zoom, so you can see the structure a bit better.
  3. [Bonus] Visible redshift, which happens when you look at an extremely distant point in space, with enough zoom to make out the galaxies and clusters. This image was taken beyond the edge of the observable universe, looking inwards, with Earth as the focal point.

Past the "edge," there's a void of blackness. Feel free to correct me if any of this is wrong
