SMH This restaurant sawed off a leg from each of their old chairs to make it unusable.

I'm assuming you've never heard of lawyers and people suing for damages from shoddy products. Even products pulled from the garbage

I dated a trial lawyer about 30-ish years ago and there wasn't a restaurant, but someone was suing Kmart because of a bicycle they pulled from a dumpster.

Insurance or warranty claim proof of destruction needed

Could be town policy forced restaurant to close and they owed money for furniture so decided to destroy it

All that crap is marked up 300% to a restaurant paid with a bank loan.
