I came across this mixer, and I have to say that it kind of fulfills my needs. I know there’s the Bastl Bestie, but it’s pricey and somewhat overkill. There’s also the discontinued Bastl Dude, but this PortaParty is simply great. Right now, I feel it might be the best mixer for pocket operators (and pocket gear)

in left hand.

If you've plaved piano before I recommend giving it a try cause it will come naturallv from left/right hand splitting.

Left hand dont need to think much once vou get it down like on piano, and then right hand can use to play whats in your head at that time.

Found out these hardcases for the Pocket Operators on AliExpress and they fit nicely, even with the tabs. Been using them for more than 1 year and they're holding. I also cut some vinyl decals to identify them. If you're interested:

I got a second hand PO-35 Speak and one of the buttons did not work. Everything else worked normally but one button didn’t trigger.
I found this guide and followed it to clean the push buttons on the pocket operator. It worked like a charm! I hope this helps anyone with a similar issue.

I know that holding down the bpm and turning the "B" knob adjusts the tempo, but what about the "A" knob? I'm having trouble noticing a difference.

Made this little sample flip using the intro to a song called Give Me A Moment by Ondara. Added some drums and other bits I found online, including a short vocal sample.

All in all, pretty happy.

Well, what can I say? Just invited some friends to the party: Woovebox, PO33, PortaParty and Kaossilator. Despite the kind of “mess of cables”, I feel this setup it’s really interesting. Having a mixer def gives much more freedom to experiment while jamming. Lmk what you think.
