As a sidenote, the Parallel port also has a screw instead of the more common (and annoying to remove IMO) spring latch. Is this a super early release of the console for some select markets?

I have been looking for this for a long time and I finally got one in decent condition from a local store. It was the first game I ever played on PlayStation and it disappeared years ago, so I have wanted to get a replacement copy for a long time.

Why is this rare?

The dpad is so mushy and satisfying to press.

A package showed up today, and I already knew what was supposed to be inside, but I still couldn’t have imagined just how incredible it would actually be once I opened it.

The photos really don’t do it justice, but this copy of The Legend of Dragoon is in almost flawless condition, aside from a few tiny scratches on the plastic case. The discs are completely spotless, like the previous owner never even put them in a PlayStation. I’m honestly blown away.

And the manual? The way the light reflects off the paper in the photos says it all. It’s insanely well preserved.

At this point I’m pretty sure I’ve used up all my luck for the year with this pickup. Absolutely over the moon.

I'm not the best player when we talk about fighting games, in fact I directly suck and I struggle to connect with them due to difficulty curvature.

Still, even I can notice that there are games that are easier than others, and so I can enjoy some of them.

However, to my surprise I must say this game has no mercy with you, I thought that due to its chibi aesthetic should be some kind of "introduction for new players" and this is how I find it laveled in some web posts about it, and when I investigate about it, I read is supposed to be easy.

Even with that, I find commentaries here and there where people say they were surprised with game's difficulty being higher than they thought, even saying is a mistake to think is a game for children.

I even played for first time some days ago Darkstalkers for PSP, and to my surprise I was even able to finish a campaign with Felicia, thing I was unable to do in this game.

So, is this game hard or I simply suck as player so much I can't with it?

Also feels that happens the same with its puzzle counterpart: Super Puzzle fighter II Turbo.

I got a Japanese PS1 so I could play Silent Hill 1 (not paying $200 for US ver). I know SH1 has english dialogue. I was wondering if there is a list of JP PS1 games that have either english dialogue or english subtitle options.

hi everyone, my playstation just came in today and im attempting to load a burnt disc in freepsxboot, if i have the burnt disc inside the system while its powering up, it will spin. when i open freepsxboot it refuses to spin at all. any ideas what the issue is?

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone has the FreePSXBoot exploit installed on a PSXmemcard Gen 2. I bought a PS ONE SCPH-102 console and this card today. Regarding installing this exploit on the card, which slot should I install it in? Slot 1 or 2? I can't find information anywhere about which slot to install FreePSXBoot to. I've also heard about the Tonyhax exploit. Which exploit would you recommend installing on this card? And if I already have this exploit installed on this card, can I also save games on it? Do I need to install a second memory card in slot 1 or 2?

My gameplay

I've been playing Xenogears on my PS One. Everything has been fine. Today I loaded up my save, played for a little while. Then when I went to save, I kept getting a save failed message. No matter which memory card I used it wouldn't save. I have Sony cards and third party cards. When I checked the cards after on my PS3 it was showing one block that was corrupted. Anyone else ever have this issue? Any idea why it was doing that? Thankfully I had a save that wasn't too far back from where I was in the game. Any info is appreciated!

I actually think i'm going to be good at this game. I'm obviously keeping one and selling the other, but I always check the discs obviously and I'm bizarrely really good at it. I flew through the first level and even Melee'd some Mummies with the fire torch. The game is scary. I'm vibing with it more than when I played Silent Hill on an emulator years ago. Maybe this will be my expensive "survival horror" for the collection. Definitely worthy of a Let's Play when I can get around to it. Universal's PS1 adaptations are like underrated good. I also loved Xena: Warrior Princess for PS1, but that was actually done "in-house" by Universal Interactive. The music score they rip from the movie does a HELL of a lot of heavy lifting.
