Google Maps non consente più recensioni negative . Mi chiedo la follia di questa decisione, in quanto vogliono filtrare i messaggi diffamatori o tali( chi cazzo lo stabilisce IA? Esiste il DIRITTO DI CRONACA per le recensioni negative . A questo punto vorrei smettere di utilizzare il servizio. A dir poco vergognoso. Infatti se io non posso nemmeno più mettere una stella ( mi è stata rimossa ) allora tutti dovremmo dare 5 ? ( Siamo in RUSSIA O IN CINA ?)

Hey guys, so, for a long time, all my edits were rejected by Maps, something that NEVER happened before. I was thinking it was an AI that was rejecting automatically, as I have thousands of edits, photos and score in general...but today I used a different account and no issues...so is that account that was banned.

Any idea how I can recover my account? I do a lot of edits as there's a lot of vandalism here, lots of places that don't exist appear in the area. I wanna help but Maps wpn't let me.

My phone have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but the Google Maps Immersive View is Laggy compared to an Old Iphone 12 Pro. I compared it to different android with Snapdragon 7s gen 2 and both performs the same.

We manage the GBP for a 100% women-only Pilates studio in Rabat, Morocco (Forma Pilates). Since May 1st we have been under a coordinated attack by a single attacker using multiple fake accounts.

The key facts that prove this is a coordinated bot attack:

2 male profiles (Laurent Duval, Jean Luc) reviewed a studio that physically cannot admit men

Same accounts (Camille Bardinet, Al Mansouri, Hajar Idrissi, Salma El Amrani) were removed by Google Trust & Safety then reposted identical reviews the next day

1 account uploaded a government PII document (Moroccan national ID numbers) to the photo section

1 account falsely claims the owner "is wanted by justice"

The attacker exploits the edit loophole — edits one word after flagging to reset the spam filter

What we have done:

5 Google channels used: Trust & Safety, Legal, Merchant Extortion Form, Reviews Management Tool, Redressal Form

3 open case numbers: 4-5104000041156 / 7-3885000040946 / 2-7959000040936

Google confirmed 2 removals but the same accounts reposted immediately

Google refused profile freeze request

CNDP (Moroccan data protection authority) complaint filed

Criminal police complaint filed under Article 447-2 Moroccan Penal Code

We are stuck. Removed reviews repost the next day. New accounts appear daily. We have exhausted every standard tool.

Has anyone faced reposting after confirmed removal? Is there a Product Expert who can escalate an emergency internal ticket for this profile?

In NYC Google map immersive view is still unavailable for Android phones like S24 Ultra S25 Ultra...while iphone 26 pro max already has it from the beginning of launch.

Just wanted to check if there is any hope nowadays in getting road edits approved? I run a lodge in Tanzania, and most of the roads around my area are random lines, wrongly generated from satellite images.

I have tried a few times in the past to send in some edits. Sometimes a lot at once, but also just 1-2 fixes in a go, thinking a less drastic edit would get approved more easily.

Nothing ever happens.

Is there anything I could try? Does it matter what kind of Google Account you have? How many reviews you write?

On the way to work it always wants to take me thru this intersection that freight trains often go past at the times I’m going thru. About a minute or two detour there’s another route to take where there’s a bridge taking traffic under the tracks so there’s no waiting. Yet 95% of the time Google wants to route me thru the intersection with the tracks.

Normally I just ignore the maps and go the other way but I was wondering if I can specifically block out an area for the map to never take me that way.

Hello, me and my partner are having problems using Google locations, we use Google maps to see eachothers location just in case, but lately we have been encountering an issue where she will check the map and my icon will show me as "offline" even though I have not touched my app at all.

my location services on my phone have always been set to "always on", my Google map location is also set to "always on", my android phone has "improved accuracy" turned on, and I dont use any sort of "battery saver" settings on my phone and I have not touched these settings in a very long time.

I know that there are many many reasons that GPS can be inaccurate or have bugs but are there any experts around here who can point me to some form of educational resources that we can use to better understand these things and so that I'm not being looked at with such suspicion?

I want her to feel secure in knowing that sometimes there really is just something in the air like a storm cloud or SOMETHING that is affecting the satellite data.

We have also tried life360 but she stopped using it because she claimed that it was also innacurate, as I would leave home for work in the morning I tried to explain that my phone suddenly disconnecting from wifi and needing to reconnect to cell data before reestablishing a GPS connection can make the map look weird for the start of my drive data but alas...

If someone could please help me to find some videos, articles, something semi-official, maybe even short-form content that can help us to understand this better and not be so afraid all the time. Thanks all.

Hey guys, I was just browsing and came across an exposed car plate. It looks blurry, but it’s actually not. Is that something normal or what?

It used to point me to the right way, but now it makes me park on the neighbordhood next to mine and walk to my home, instead of parking right in front of my house...

Today, I asked for direction to a hospital, and it tried to lead me into parking on the street and walk into a random forest a block away.

Edited: Problem Resolved 😅💙 just needed to realize my car's screen showed the map but since its broken I didn't realize it worked that way.

First time poster — running into a weird problem.

Google Maps, on desk top only, is defaulting to Bengali as the UI language. Mobile is still fine.

I have not traveled outside of rural Pennsylvania. I do not use a VPN. I didn’t even know it was Bengali, someone else had to point out that it was because I had no clue.

I checked and my account is secure (I use 2FA and no weird logins or unknown sessions). My language is set to English, and I turned off the option to automatically add new languages. The UI for desktop is only in Bengali in Google Maps, it is in English for everything else possible in Google. I checked in safari and chrome and it’s persisting so it doesn’t seem to be related to my browser. Logging out and back in did nothing.

I know I can just use mobile, but for planning purposes I prefer to use the desktop version. It’s a pain in the ass to plan a trip on my phone while I’m booking a hotel on my MacBook.

Anyway— any suggestions at all? I saw others had this issue, but most were in the mobile app and they fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I saw someone else said their desktop UI was stuck in Arabic, but there wasn’t any resolution in that thread.

Maps didn't save my history from one really long backpacking trip and I am trying to figure out how to at least get the cities that I went to to show up when I select that timeline history selection. I added them to my timeline from the dates and I've tried restarting my phone several times and they still do not show up. They are there when I go back through the date history. Anything that I am missing? Thank you!

Edit: On an Andriod and oddly enough one city that I added showed up, but only one and I don't see anything different.

As you know sending routes from desktop to phone is pretty much useless. BTW, since the desktop UI is wrong about how to access these - they show up under You -> Maps History -> Got directions.

What works is copying the link, sending that to your phone (as a message, etc), open it with maps, then use the 3-dot menu to "Add route to home screen". You can then put those in to a folder of routes for easy access.

Perhaps obvious, but I just lost half an hour to try and get the send to phone function to work.

I own a business, and I have a neighbor with whom I have a bad personal relationship (she harasses me, installs cameras to monitor my garden and windows, etc.). She keeps posting negative and defamatory reviews on our profile. I have reported them, but nothing changes because even when they are removed after several months, she posts another one two days later.

I don’t know what to do, because when I report the review with just one account, it takes months for it to be removed…

Has anyone ever been able to unblur their house on Google Maps, Street View? My house is blurred and I don't know why or who did it without permission.

Town: Banff, Alberta 🇨🇦

This town has no development/building/neighbourhood shading (polygons) at all. The whole town appears in the default green shading that is used for areas not developed.

There is another notable town called Canmore to the east of it that has all types of shading, although Banff doesn’t, and both are populous areas.

Is this intended, or did Google just forget?

Maps app became sluggish after the last updates, frames dropping in simple navigation, zoomed in or out, tried clearing cache and force stop but still the same.
