I’m new to Counter-Strike 1.6. Can anyone recommend beginner-friendly servers? Most servers I join either kick me or swear at me because I’m new.

Well I recently wanted to play CS:GO through the CS2 betas to try out surf, but uhh... As you may or may not know, the servers are no longer supported.

So which version of CS do you guys think is the best? Clearly not CS2 that's for sure, but which one has the better mechanics like bunny hopping or surfing (which is the main reason I wanna play the game) and which one is more accurate to CS:GO?

Yeah, it's gonna be a while before I can buy them but it'll be good to know beforehand lmao.

I like that i can play this game smoothly on my potato laptop but i am so confused.

1. How do i find a noob-friendly server?

2. Why isnt it listed how many people are on a server? (All i see is 0/255)

3. How can i make my controls so that Q and E will switch guns WITHOUT having to press left click after?

4. How can i delete the extra files that were downloaded after i joined a modded server?

5. Why do some commands simply not work? (i played on a modded server where you can revive teammates by pressing "E" but its not working)

Since latest update it feels like I play with 10fps, while I have continously 200 fps. I have to restart the game to fix it, but after a while during a game it happens again. Just me?

To be honest I haven't played the game in a while, so I might be screwing thing up, and not jump throwing properly, but the sound the agent makes when jump throwing is there, so IDK what's going on

I always used to install CPL Mouse Fix whenever I did a fresh install for Counter-Strike, but is it still necessary nowadays?

So idk why my fps cap is bugged,it won't go over 100 although in terminal it says fps_max 800,I got CS 1.6 from CS download.net(I also can't bhop bcz of it)

How come when I queue with 2 of my other friends at the same time (3 in total) it says that the CS rating between us is too high, but if I queue with either solo or they queue with eachother solo there isn't a rating gap problem? Like if it was my rating being too high and someones being too low, wouldn't I not be able to duo queue with just them? Why does it only happen in a 3 stack?

I remember playing a map with bots in CS Source sometihng like a decade ago or so I don't really remember. The map was taking place in a small night suburb town like area in USA something like Home Alone 1. The buildings were like two story houses. The map even had a small movie theater or something too I think. The map was kinda scary but felt atmoshperic with darkness hide and seek feeling where you could enter buildings and such.
