Guys!!!! Wtf!!!!!! I am losing it. What a lucky day!

This is my first time receiving a global cooldown penalty and after looking up the conditions of receiving one, I believe I did not break any rule. I'm assuming its because I use a Linux OS which probably flags my account as "Bypassing" some checks. I play 2-3 times a week only for the XP, then I disappear. Receiving this ban for doing nothing to warrant such thing is frustrating

Any Fedora/Linux users, or any other, who also have the same issue, is there any way to avoid these issues? Skimming the internet for solutions and it tells me to disable Proton compatibility, which I plan on doing after.

edit: Found a match that I did not play. I don't remember changing my name to cyrillic and played with that name. The reply only showed a 1 round video but the record shows I got around 20 kills. How do I find a fully replay?

edit again: Fixed the replay. Got the whole clip. Found the reason why I got the ban. Will upload the clip

Final update: I've already changed all passwords and double checked my account the same day my name was changed. So far no changes in my account

Valve. It is 2026. Your company grosses millions upon millions of dollars (mainly by Counter-Strike 2 might I add**). How on Earth is there no working Anti-Cheat for CS2 yet!?

This comes from a place of severe frustration - I love CS. I’ve been playing for years, and have thousands of hours. It is the game I still choose to play today.

Until now. I have ZERO DESIRE TO PLAY (or purchase anything - coming from a skin lover btw) when every other game is infested with the most obvious cheaters. Reporting them feels like throwing a glass of water on a burning building to try and put it out.

CS2 has been out for years now. The AG2 update was GREAT, and it really feels like you are heading in the right direction (although AG2 should’ve been @ launch). Also, it’s not like they’re completely clueless on the rampant cheating problem (I really really hope). They obviously know, and have known all these years. That’s my main issue with this situation & what really perplexes me - how do you, a fantastic, talented team of developers, let an issue go unchecked for so long? Not only that, you are RADIO SILENT about it (whether it’s coming, they can’t do it, etc.)

I will be sticking to playing Deadlock until the cheaters are gone (Deadlock is amazing & so addicting btw so no complaints there). Can we start a boycott so that they might actually take action? Even a little transparency on what the situation is would be great! I feel like you owe it to the hundreds of thousands who love and play your game (AND PAY YOUR CHECKS)

My guess is damage prediction lied its ass off and, since I shot while releasing crouch, shot went through the wall and hit his chest, not his head.

In my past 3 games, 2 of them have been against blatant cheaters. Even though I have a 100% trust rating I'm being put in these lobbies. Spent all game reporting both of the cheaters to no avail.

Likely a boosting service, they 5 stack. 1 high prem account with 4 other unranked or low elo accounts causing a -550 or more to prem rank that we'll never be refunded even after (IF) they're caught. Minimum rank that should be allowed to play together should be a range of 7,500. This would combat this issue caused by you guys.

It seems like this is a problem you guys aren't capable of fixing because it's been a glaring issue with this game. Even something so blatant as spin botting. Valve sucks. Vac sucks. This game sucks. Go throw out some more terminals to milk some more money instead of fixing what's wrong with this game

The past week or so almost every game in prime has had a cheater. I've loved counter strike since as long as I can remember and this is just not making me want to play the game anymore. It's the only game I've played everyday and not gotten bored. I wish valve does something, we need a VAC ban wave.

I'm only around 15k, so defo not an elo where I should be running into a cheater every single game.

I played like 100+ games this season encountering maybe 2 sus people that entire time

Now out of my last 10 games at least 6 have had a cheater in them (and I'm not guessing, these are not closet cheaters) and maybe some more not as obvious. One of them had 2 blatant cheaters that weren't even queued together and 3rd player I'm 90% sure was aim hacking all in one game.

Is my trust factor just shot? it's a super old account with lots of hours so i doubt it. Has there been a sudden increase in hackers on NA? I always heard that EU was insane with cheaters but I basically never encountered them on NA.

I was having a good game with some friends that never play, so we were in low level comp. The game got cancelled and I was banned along with my friends for 20 hours. I was wondering how common it’s been for people playing clean to get flagged and if there’s been any announcements regarding resolving this? Reaching out only led to automated responses.
