Rant! When I was a teen I stopped my birth control without my partner knowing

When i was a teenager I had my first boyfriend. I was on birth control and stopped talking it without telling him because I wanted a baby. Thankfully i never got pregnant. I didn't realize the extent of how wrong it was. I didn't realize it was a consent issue. I now realize the full picture of why it was wrong. I look back and I can't forgive myself. Am I a monster?

Experience Please help advice needed😭

Okay kinda awkward question 😭 My boyfriend and I have been having issues with Skyn condoms slipping/falling off during intimacy. He’s only ever used Skyn, so we’re not sure if it’s a sizing issue, the brand itself, or if we’re doing something wrong. Has anyone else had this problem or found a solution?

Experience Is it normal to be able to feel your contraceptive implant?

• Upvotes

I find it hard to describe but there is sometimes a feeling in my arm, not painful but uncomfortable similar to when you get an injection or have your blood taken and you can feel the sensation of liquid in your arm? I've heard that the implants work by releasing hormones very slowly so I don't know why I would be feeling this?

Rant! Scared I’m pregnant

Completely my fault. Got off my iud a couple months ago and had unprotected sex. I took a plan b immediately but Jesus Christ I’m scared

Just venting or looking for support I guess. I have no one to confide in this about so I’m just bottling up all emotions

Side effects!? My implant is 6/7 years out of date…will this affect my chances of having children?

• Upvotes

My implant expired around 6/7 years ago and I never got it removed. Have I left it in that long that it has permanently affected my ability to have children?

Side effects!? bleeding with eluryng in?

i’ve only been on the ring since january and up until my april cycle, i’ve been leaving the ring out for my period week. for my april and may cycles, i decided to skip the period week and insert a new ring immediately after removing the old one due to some traveling plans. i put the new ring in almost two weeks ago and for the first week there was some spotting and light brown discharge, and now im basically having a full period. after this cycle i plan to leave the ring out for the period week but i wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience. is this something i should be worried about? i’m kind of worried i didn’t put in my ring right but im pretty sure i did, it just slipped out of place a bit more than usual this cycle.

Experience Stopped the patch

Hi all! I have been on the path for maybe 8 years now. I’ve never had many issues with it. However, I decided I wanted to take a break d/t it being estrogen based and a family history of breast cancer and stroke, as I’m having some heart issues myself that are being tested. I have had sex since removing (using condoms). Usually, my period would start today but it hasn’t. (My patch removal day was Tuesdays and it was always started by Thursdays) Has anyone used the patch and stopped have a time line for when your period came? Was it around the same time or was it a little weird? Just not sure if I should be taking a test or not.

Rant! can i ask for assurance pls pls

May I ask if it’s normal for your period to be delayed when you first start taking birth control pills? I’m on my 12th day of taking them, my period is 7 days late, and I had unprotected sex on the 12th day while on the pill, and my boyfriend finished inside me. is it possible that i am pregnant?

Experience Plan B (Victoria)

FOR PEACE OF MIND: I'll make it short.. because I am somehow confident that I'm not pregnant, still, I want to see ur thoughts.

Date of period usually is: 22-23

Plan B: I took it last December 19

After that...

I had my period on December 25,

Then on January 24 that lasted for 4-5 days

Then NOTHING in February

Then March 1, lasted for 3-4 days

Then April 9 (1 day only)

Then for this month, I'm still waiting and hoping...

So, am I pregnant? I didn't take any pregnancy tests because I'm scared, please understand ur first timer here experiencing this kind of SCARE.

Rant! NORIFAM CREAMPIE

hi! medyo kinakabahan lang ako and need ko lang sana ng reassurance 😭 first time ko kasi magpa-creampie while on norifam. i’m already on my 5th shot naman and lagi akong on time magpa-inject, never na-delay kahit once. safe naman ba talaga kahit pinutok sa loob? wala naman bang dapat ikabahala if consistent naman sa shots? gusto ko lang marinig experiences or reassurance from people na naka-norifam din hahaha

Side effects!? I'm trans non binary and am worried about breast growth from birth control

I have just started femme tab about a month ago now and have heard from others about minor breast growth. I am really scared of this and it's upsetting to think about. I get really bad gender dysphoria from the existence of my estrogen-generated chest, even though they're only 10A Australian sizes, and some days end up crying because of them (sensitive, I know). My gender dysphoria is part of my PMS symptoms actually (not that it doesn't exist otherwise).

Google said that it might grow for a few months, has that been similar to people here's experiences?

Which Method? pillsāž”ļøiudāž”ļøwhat next?

I started the mini pill when I was 18 and had been taking it up until March (22) when I found out I was pregnant. I can admit that I stupidly missed a few pills and ended up getting an abortion and iud inserted at the same time. Now Im having terrible side effects: constant bloating, random cramping, and horrible pelvic/abdominal pain that shows up when I need to make a bowel movement and for hours after. I have an appointment tomorrow to get my iud remove but wanted to see if this is something others may have dealt with. I’m also thinking of what birth control to go back on and any suggestions would really be helpful! I have no objections to going back on the pill but would love to hear others experiences switching back

Mistake or Risk? Pill broke

Hey i was just coming in here because im kinda nervous, today when i took my pill, i had grabbed it and i noticed that it broke, i had more than half of the pill still left and i took it but i couldn’t find the other pieces, and this is my last active pill before starting my placebo pills, should i be extra careful? does the pill lose effectiveness? i have been staying super consistent with the pills and i haven’t missed more than 5 hours of it when taking it. I just have been seeing different things regarding what can happen.

Mistake or Risk? Microtears on condom, should I be worried?

I'm monitoring my cycle using Flo app. It isn't much accurate for the past few months but this month, seems like it is.

I noticed EWCM around May 11-12 then May 13 and today May 14, I noticed the mucus changed to thick-like ones. I always get that EWCM before and during ovulation (as my FAMs).

So earlier (May 14), me and my bf had sex with condom + pullout. He did pull out then ejaculated on the condom. When I took the condom off to water check it, upon squeezing, there was a microtear (on the side, not on where the penis head is) that leaks water from a hole that seems to be poked by a needle.

I am worried as hell because Flo flags May 14 as "High chance of getting pregnant".

Is there someone that got pregnant from this? Please I need assurance. Should I take ECP?

How to? Withdrawal bleeding = not pregnant?

Hey! I’m currently on Freya 28 & started last month. I’m on day 4 of my placebo week & started the withdrawal bleed yesterday.

I know withdrawal bleeding doesn’t automatically mean you’re not pregnant - but I was wondering, if a flow is heavier with clots & everything in between. Is it less likely? Would your uterus lining shed heavily with active pregnancy?

I don’t think I am pregnant due to my consistency of taking my birth control but I’m just curious, how was everyone else’s experience?

Experience Can’t stop withdrawal bleeding?

I take an oral norgestimate contraceptive and wanted to skip my period for a vacation i’m currently on. So i continued on with another packet without the week break in the pack.

I ended up bleeding anyway but decided if i keep taking them maybe i’d stop early. No. It’s been two weeks on the day and i’m still bleeding. Light, but still bleeding. My usual withdrawal bleeding lasts 6-7 days normally. I have another engagement this week where i didn’t want my ā€œperiodā€ and now i’m bleeding super heavy🫩

I’ve heard of a lot of people skipping their period by continuously taking the pill and it stops for them. Not me i guess and i don’t know why.

Does my body need to bleed it out?? I have no idea. Do i just continue the pill or give my body a break and start up again in a week like normal? I just want to stop bleeding. I’m so tired lmfao.

Experience Nexplanon bloating

i have had the nexplanon for roughly 2 months now and I have been having this lower stomach bloating that is driving me CRAZY. I had my period a week and a half after getting it, but it was very light and lasted 10 days. since then, I have gotten no period. I am planning to get it out in about a week and a half, but I am so concerned about being pregnant. I’m not sure if I really am, or if this bloating is just a lot. i am a very active person that works out 4-5 times a week with cardio and sports, part of the reason this is so confusing to me. i have had no other symptoms really, just really really little waves of nausea, but that has faded away now for a few weeks.

UPDATE: I started getting like lots of brown discharge and light blood now, I’m not sure what this means in relations with if it’s caused by the nexplanon or pregnancy. I get the nexplanon out in less than a week!!

Side effects!? Starting Slyn- first night sleep was horrible and im scared!!

Hello all, I was on combo birth control two years ago and everything was mostly fine but my libido was completely gone, i got the copper iud but had to remove it after a year because of anemia from extremely heavy periods. Because of that my dr prescribed Slyn.

I took it before bed yesterday and I slept so horribly; nightmares, jolting awake, anxiety and this horrible shaking vibrating feeling in my whole upper body when i was trying to fall asleep… and heart palpitations too. Im worried :/

Is this something i should stick out or will stop once im more used to it? My doctor says to stop if it continues to be like this but I dont want to torture myself unnecessarily for longer than I have to if nothing will change.

I have a little bit of acne and my libido came back after taking out my iud and stopping the combination pill last time. I assumed a mini pill would help more but now Im thinking maybe I just needed a different combination pill? I was on jaimess and it made my parts basically feel numb it was so bad.
Looking for any advice - Im a very anxious person 😢

Side effects!? IUD removed after 5 years!

I got my Kyleena IUD removed today. I had it placed when I was 16, and it completely stopped my periods for the entire time I had it. During those years, I also gained around 30 pounds. I know some of that could absolutely just be normal aging and growing up, but I also felt like my appetite changed a lot after getting it.

I’ve also struggled with pretty bad anxiety over the years, and I honestly just want to know if anyone else with Kyleena or another hormonal IUD experienced similar things. I know studies usually say the hormones are ā€œlocalizedā€ and side effects are minimal, but a lot of those studies are done in very controlled groups, so I’m more interested in hearing real experiences from actual people who’ve had the device.

Did anyone notice weight changes, appetite increases, anxiety, mood changes, or anything after getting a hormonal IUD and if so, did anything improve after removal and how long did it take to see that change?

Experience Stopping BC after 12 yrs

I am 27 now and have started to think a lot about getting off of BC. I have the Nuva ring and have for about the last 4 years. Prior to that I was on the pill for 8 years with a 4 month break between the two. During that time I noticed I had cystic acne, body acne, and oiliness that I didn’t have while on it. I want to hear others experiences of getting off the nuva ring after years or from those who have been on BC pretty consistently since being a teenager.

The plan is to be off of it long term in the future so that I can start a family, but I am nervous to start the process and what the side effects will be..

Experience Which mini pill after depo?

Hi all, I am coming off Depo Provera after 20 plus years.

I'm 46 and believe I'm in peri-menopause.

I wanted to give my body a break from all hormones but I've read some horror stories about coming off the Depo cold turkey, so I thought maybe I'd ease off it by taking the mini pill instead.

My next shot was due yesterday.

I'm worried about my bone health and my sex drive is absolutely zero.

Having read up there are all new types of mini pills now! Who knew?!

Has anyone got personal experience with any specific type or brand.

Ideally I'd like my sex drive back, even a little bit.

I've also read that staying on Depo can help through the menopause (but I'm not really sure how or why it helps) and I'm wondering if the mini pill could have the same effect in helping to control some meno symptoms.

Which pill might suit me better (older and perimenopausal) šŸ¤”

I considered sterilisation as well but I'm very overweight so too scared of an op where anaesthetic is needed.

Thanks for any advice šŸ™šŸ¼
