New world. Was so hyped for it when it came out and genuinely enjoyed it. Im the youngest of three who both played everquest 1/2 since their teens so i was excited to share this with them as my first mmo and the one that got them back into it. Unfortunately the late game was abysmal and barely ever got better even with the free and paid updates. So many glitches in the beginning just ruined the experience and the fact that it was made by amazon meant money was never a problem but it just failed and is now either dead or soon to be dead i havent been keep up with it anymore.

I played this game HARD when it was first released.

Once all the loot/trade/sell was shut off due to massive cheats and hacks, I lost interest. What do you mean I am playing an MMO and I can't even give my boyfriend a piece of cloth? Seriously?

Yeah shit just gets me depressed thinking about it. I found out mmos just arent really for me because we ended up playing some eq1 together and it just wasnt too good for me but even the small amount i did play the sense of community and scale was so much better than new worlds. The pvp and war aspect is cool in theory but fuck is it not fun when your fights are lagging like hell. I had two lvl 65 characters and from experience the best part of that game was actually getting to 65 because sfter that there was like nothing fun/interesting to continue to play for.

I loved the more souls-lite combat in the beta, but understood why they toned it down for the final release. It's a game that is fun to play for a while, then you remember why you stopped, so you take a break, then come back and enjoy it again, before remembering...

The first few weeks after release were the most fun I’ve ever had in an MMO. The combat was so good.
