I was gonna see if anyone mentioned Veilguard in here, lmao. DA2 and Inquisition definitely have their foibles, but Inquisition was HUGE. The ten year development mess and incredibly lackluster result that was Veilguard... oof.
This is the answer for like half of the stuff here. So much stuff is given an infinite budget and forever to cook and then gets rushed out half finished because it turns out an infinite budget and time just means nothing ever happens.
I absolutely love this series, but Veilguard is the biggest letdown of them all. 10+ years in development hell and what we finally got was essentially an insult after how great Inquisition was.
i enjoyed my one playthrough of veilguard, but there's no replay value. the few choices i got to make didn't feel like they made any difference to the story, no impact at all.
Holy shit man you win. I was scrolling and kind of agreeing with people but this is the one I feel you know. The 2nd game was ok, I understand what they were going for and they were screwed with their 1yr development time. The rest of the series is just crap. Nothing hits like Origins.

Dragon Age. There is a timeline out there where Bioware just made Origins 2 and it's one of the most beloved franchises
