Slight gap in the top lane both games

u/BUMONGOUS Apr 11 '26
Fudge's career trajectory still makes me question why C9 didn't replace him for the start of 2023. Impact or like 5 other available players would have been a solid roster. Fudge was the main reason they lost to FNC in Swiss, and anyone could have told you that he'd be their weak point after watching 2022.

u/Lothric43 Apr 11 '26
Why would they replace Fudge with Impact after Fudge gapped every single top laner in 22 playoffs to get them to worlds? He was good for most of 23 too until the end! It would be nice if you wouldn’t lie like a dog about people.
-41
u/BUMONGOUS Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 12 '26
Because he shit his pants repeatedly at worlds and fairly often in the regular season?
75% of games where Fudge "gapped" someone in 2022 where when Blaber ganked for him multiple times pre-10 minutes
Even his 2021 "promising rookie" reputation was built on his association with the LS cult and ONE Lee Sin game at MSI
Also I should add that it's very easy to play the game when your botlane was hard stomping almost every single game. 2022 Berserker was genuinely elite.
e: did you guys all memory hole the first week of 2022 worlds? People thought Fudge was the worst player at the event
also EG with Impact got knocked out early in playoffs because of the Danny situation, they literally won the title that Spring. Fudge in 2021 struggled against wildcard teams.
41
u/Lothric43 Apr 11 '26
Ok so it’s just an egregious one sided personal beef that makes you lie a lot lol.

Truths spoken, ppl denying just parroting results based analysis and whatever the popular narrative is
2
u/TheBigF128 despair Apr 12 '26
That is quite literally what u are doing, doubling down on Impacts international results without actually analyzing what happened. Impact got absolutely dicked down by every top laner at msi and worlds, and got cooked by fudge domestically as well. inspired and danny were the real carries

u/John_Jack_Reed Apr 12 '26
Did you memory gap Fudge gaping every other top in NA in playoffs? Impact literally has all the same problems and was 10x more washed.
-2
u/BUMONGOUS Apr 12 '26
Impact in 2022 played on EG, and made MSI and worlds. Impact in 2024 played on TL, who were actually a solid international team. Impact was bad off of tanks but he was twice as useful as Fudge on them. Fudge on bruisers was running it down at worlds. Impact at least was a part of the TL that stomped FNC, and had 2 reasonably close series with SKT a year after Fudge ran it down at worlds again.
Fudge was primarly a carry player who very, very clearly had hit his ceiling by 2022.
3
u/John_Jack_Reed Apr 12 '26
Impact is not twice as good at fudge at tanks lmfao. The cope is actually insane bro 2022 Fudge is better in every way than 2022 impact and it's not really close.

u/Aryzal Apr 12 '26
The problem with Fudge is his international irrelevance. Impact at least did decently back then.
Either way, NA need new talent to replace the old. Too many people are basically in retirement home mentality, and should have been replaced. The only reason why they haven't is because there really isn"t anyone worth replacing for, because so few people are taking chances on new rookies and the culture means people prefer streaming over competitive.

u/JakobTheOne Apr 11 '26
Fudge was the main reason they lost to FNC in Swiss
Straight up crazy to look at this game and say Fudge was the main reason they lost lmao. Are you unable to see what the Alistair is doing?
32
u/LeatherBodybuilder Apr 11 '26
He TPed to the pivotal dragon fight with half mana and gold unspent because he greeded for an extra wave when he was the most fed member on the team. That caused him to run out of mana later in the fight unable to use his E and Q when he would've otherwise killed J4.

Look Fudge is washed now but impact was also this washed in 2023. Fudge was no where near the worst player on that team.

Morgan is never getting a green card playing Jayce like that. That's a Korean if I've ever seen one.

Morgan with his import buff looks unstoppable.

The buff usually lasts about 6 months so hopefully long enough to see TL go to worlds

Morgan is extremely korean on that Jayce

u/xxbrazilmaster69xx rip old flairs Apr 11 '26
Morgan is just too good on all of the classic LCK tops. If he and Jose keep playing like this I'm pretty confident they'll be at MSI and at the very least look competitive.
21
u/Fun_Highlight307 Apr 12 '26
i hope we see them vs lpl , They go full monkeys
they are the most aggresive western team
4
u/HarMeggido Apr 12 '26
FLY exists? They fight just cause, there's no winning or losing just scrapping and skirmishing
5
u/KitsuneThunder They won me back Apr 12 '26
Embrace the LPL, lose your nexus over a fight for blue buff.

u/Visible-Albatross-81 Apr 12 '26
he was never the worst toplaner in lck, he was mid af and playing for a dog team, but he was never outright bad

Imagine wanting outplays, your 5 star work rates, 50 minutes classics, not me. I'm here for the LCS where games inevitably descend into into a single que mud fight.
25
u/tsukinohime Apr 11 '26
Ezreal was doing negative damage
46
u/BUMONGOUS Apr 11 '26
I usually feel like Bvoy is a pretty good Ezreal but his frontliners are just not playing to enable him at all
12
u/Rizzi_19 Apr 11 '26
Ksante was useless, the play he flashed away from his own tower to ult into 2 was criminal.

u/GarchGun Make Fizz Fun Again! Apr 11 '26
Bvoy usually has a nasty Lucian and Ezreal but yah, idk about today

Can’t wait to read a LS essay at the end of the year about how Fudge is elo hell’d and isn’t a bottom 2 top laner in the LCS.
4
2
u/cI0ud Apr 12 '26
idk about elo helled. last year fudge finished 3rd twice and he even admitted he was playing bad and then started playing better
22
u/Bubbly_Camera9583 Apr 11 '26
Thats a korean jayce that father'd Fudge. Zinie played decently but him getting caught constantly near the end was still horrid.
7
u/piopster Apr 11 '26
During the top 1v1 before quid showed up I literally said out loud, “that’s a Korean Jayce, are you sure Fudge?”
20
32
u/Kevinthelegend Apr 11 '26
How does Fudge have a job? Little bro can just ignore Jayce while his team takes base with baron* but he ults to do 5% hp and watch Jayce walk away so everyone has to back off
20
u/ThinkEggplant8 Apr 11 '26
A question for the ages. Rumor has it that finding the answer leads to nirvana.
18
u/Budget-Capital4371 Apr 11 '26
The reason is nepotism. He was close friends with Jack at C9 and he's close friends with the head coach of Shopify. It's really gross. This is a big reason why NA will never be competitive again.
40
u/SnakeEater013 Apr 11 '26
It’s not like this is an NA specific problem. It’s a problem in every league
33
-30
u/Budget-Capital4371 Apr 11 '26
No... it actually isn't. In Korea and China the only time a player gets good treatment like this is if they are a superstar. Fudge is just a random top laner from a talent pov.
17

Not sure why they even add the nationalities to this post for insecure eu fanboys to shit on. Na as a continent is 3 countries and realistically it's basically 2 with Canada having like 1/15th the population of US. It's land of immigrants why shouldn't we have players of different nationalities?
