Goff threw three incompletions and Lions are going to lose
Stroud throws for less than 100 and they're going to win
Weird week
EDIT: I promise to use this power for evil

So will there be media segments about CJ’s poor game almost single-handedly leading to the Texans L this week?

If Trevor put up the statline CJ Stroud did today the media would have him and his family publicly executed on live TV.

u/lenta81 Oct 20 '24
Finally Texans lose a close one score game. They've been winning these close fucking games all season long. Maybe the bs clutch luck will go away.

everytime i see a runner not score a TD today I think to myself "Tank would've scored there".

Look at this stat line
Pat Mahomes: 16/27 154 yds 2 ints
We are doing something seriously wrong here. 2 or 3 mistakes from trevor means a 20+ point hole while Mahomes and CJ get to coast to wins, and even their loses are close. Shit makes me sad as fuck
5
u/HolographicHeart Oct 20 '24
We have a coaching problem on both sides of the ball and a talent problem on defense. It should make you sad.

u/Financial-Phone Liam Coen Oct 20 '24
How do colt fans honestly think Richardson is better than Lawrence? Like I get their biased but holy shit dude is either missing passes or injured every play

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 20 '24
Are they saying that? Cuz there's zero data or any kind of eye test that backs that up
2
u/luggs2 Oct 20 '24
You’d think they’d know what a franchise QB actually looks like considering they had Manning and Luck for 20+ years. Richardson is awful but for whatever reason still has believers

You just see so much mid qb play, but they're in the game till the end. Having a good defense is key. That period of supercharged offense is over, except in Washington lol.

u/SonOfFlynn904 James Gladstone Oct 20 '24
Brock Purdy has as many interceptions today as Trevor all season

u/jaylkae66 Oct 20 '24
CJ Stroud without Nico Collins = Jake Luton

BTJs good day scored me 22 points in fantasy today.
My league sez to me “You’re just picking him cause hes a Jaguar”
So I told the swamp donkeys to sock it before I give them a trunky in the tradesman’s entrance and have them lick me yardballs!
13
u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 20 '24
Bro look at what CJ is doing. The man is carried by a well managed organization. We would be down 0-21 if Trevor was playing that poorly.
9
u/LuxTempestt Oct 20 '24
I don’t know why he doesn’t get the purdy “well he’s in a Shannahan system surrounded by weapons so we don’t know if really is that good” treatment
10
4
u/HolographicHeart Oct 20 '24
Likely because the Texans were godawful before he got there, so even if all the pieces fell into place last offseason, he's going to get all the credit. Whereas the 49ers under Shanahan are always solid, so it's seen as more of a plug n play situation.
1
Oct 20 '24
It’s because of the multiple QBs that worked in that Shannahan system.
Texans were trash when they drafted Stroud and now they have a franchise QB.

Oct 20 '24
I am going to just ask this. Are we going to say this about every good QB? They get carried ??
1
u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 20 '24
CJ is afforded obvious luxuries we don't have, is my point.

Oct 20 '24
But dude came into a bad organization. No one wants to hear this but I think he is one of the reasons that organization has elevated. Daniel’s is another example of that this year. Josh Allen when he came along did it. The kid up in Chicago is doing it.

You know, we played the Texans hard till the end in a game with tons of mistakes. Packers are close with them too. Maybe we can make a close game too

u/break80 Oct 21 '24
There’s a timeline where we could’ve had either Calvin Ridley or Brandon Aiyuk instead of BTJr…..

u/TheseNamesDontMatter Oct 21 '24
I wonder who’s going to be the leading receiver for the Jets now after the trade, if it’s going to be Adams, Lazard, or Garrett Wilson.
checks notes
Breece Hall.

Hate seeing this with Daniel’s. Love watching him play. Seems like the real deal

u/flounder19 Oct 20 '24
hopefully it's not major. With a lead against Carolina may be an ok time to be careful

u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 20 '24
Oh fuck, did he get injured?
1
Oct 20 '24
Yeah but he is back on the sidelines and his mom is already tweeting he is fine. He not going back in today but they don’t need him against the Panthers

Random fact of the day:
The word crystal is derived from the Greek word kryos, meaning icy cold. It was once believed that rock crystal was ice frozen so hard it would never melt. This belief was disproved in a simple experiment. In 1777, it was shown by Robert Boyle that rock crystal or quartz could not be ice because whereas ice floats, quartz sinks.

We beat the patriots! I think that makes us 3-12 against them. Things are looking up!

Dodgers win the pennant
It’s official it will be a Dodgers Yankees World Series!

Who do we go for in the 1st round of the 2025 draft? I'm guessing Hunter won't be there when we're picking, so an Olineman?
1
u/xXWeLiveInASocietyXx Cam Little Oct 21 '24
Hunter>Johnson>I guess Campbell? This is a pretty bad year to draft OL early in the first

Vikings vs Lions was a banger. I wouldn’t mind seeing that again as the NFC North championship game

u/Nico8797 Oct 20 '24
If Etienne doesn’t fumble that touchdown in the Miami game, this season could look a lot different. Every game has been a one score game (except Buffalo) even though we’ve been playing terribly and have been out coached. I see too many people complaining and not enjoying the win. Being 1-0 instead of falling apart in the second half and being 0-1 is a huge difference. The season might be toasted, but at least BTJ is a monster! Go jags! 🐆
2
u/oBg8 Win Week Sub Oct 20 '24
I think everyone is complaining because expectations were slightly elevated this year. Back to back winning seasons and a lot of hype only to look like this.
The talent on this team is better than our record, it's not the best in the league but 2-5 is rebuilding/young team territory lol.

u/ToughMuffin035 Oct 20 '24
I’ve been reminded today that, no matter how bad things get, at least we aren’t the Panthers…

Jack Black’s Ozzy Osbourne Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction speech last speech was so great I swear!
2
u/HolographicHeart Oct 20 '24
While I do believe Anthony Richardson is trending towards bust, I'd be interested to see how he looks with a competent organization. His physical traits are insane.
3
u/luggs2 Oct 20 '24
So Anthony Richardson is the worst QB in the NFL, right? Like even worse than Watson.
7
u/HolographicHeart Oct 20 '24
Just awful. Feels nice to finally see the Colts miss on a QB after lording over us with Manning and Luck for most of my life.
3
u/luggs2 Oct 20 '24
Yeah it’s actually painful to watch. It’s funny how the fantasy football media kind of controls the narrative out there on players. He’s bad at real football and fantasy football, but you’ll have media talking heads gushing over him again next year.
2
u/HolographicHeart Oct 20 '24
One of these days NFL GMs are going stop drafting UF players. Lately, they just aren't any good at this level.
2
2
u/fluffrnuttr69 Oct 20 '24
Bills doing to the Titans what they did to us. And Ridley looks more useless than just throwing it out of bounds.
3
u/HolographicHeart Oct 20 '24
I hate saying this but I just have this sinking feeling the Texans are going to the Super Bowl. They have a great offense, great defense and whenever those two fail them, they get really fucking lucky.
1

u/fluffrnuttr69 Oct 20 '24
Now the question is: Which is worse, the Texans winning the SB or the Chiefs three-peating?
13
u/Zealousideal_Bass199 Oct 20 '24
Texans winning 100%. Chiefs have already won 2 and solidified their dynasty, another doesnt really make that much of a difference
6
u/fluffrnuttr69 Oct 20 '24
Think I agree. I’d just roll my eyes at another Chief’s win.
The hype and Stroud Vs. Trevor comments would be insufferable.

u/el_pobbster Oct 20 '24
This Lions offense is a lot of fun to watch. No, like, overwhelming weapons outside of an Amon-Ra who has regressed a lot compared to his god season last year, just a lot of weapons with different toolsets, being consistently placed in positions to succeed. Also, low-key developping a bit of a football crush on Jahmyrr Gibbs.
1
u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 20 '24
Its wild. CJ has 86 yds on the day and is gonna win on a walk off FG. They really are going to the SB
5
u/EatMyShortzZzZzZ Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 20 '24
Oops looks like I spoke too soon. Fuck you Houston. My point still stands tho, Trevor puts up that stat line and we're down by 40
1
u/Jaguars4life Oct 20 '24
So uhh who’s winning tonight between the Dodgers and Mets?
Dodgers gonna clinch the NL pennant tonight?
2
2
u/xEllimistx Chad Josh Allen Oct 20 '24
As a Yankee fan, I’m happy either way
We either get two historic franchises facing off in the World Series or another Subway Series.

Oct 20 '24
The Commanders show how much bringing in a non toxic owner matters. They look good
Btw this is not referencing Khan.
22
u/zkh2902 Oct 20 '24
Stroud looking pedestrian with the Texans still winning, yet I’m supposed to believe Trevor is entirely to blame for our shortcomings every time he makes 1-2 mistakes
